The inspiration for GormalOne brewed enroute our founder Manish’s
home in Malad to the tribal
farms in Goregaon — where he spent time with farmers and tribals and deeply understood their
pain points on a personal level. The farmers were technologically naive and operated on
negligibly low profits.
With vast and in-depth knowledge of various agri-businesses gathered over the last 28 years,
Manish was and continues to be supremely passionate about tapping the power of technology and
artificial intelligence to empower the farmers and other neglected sections of society.
The blend of his urge to empower through technology and his financial acumen as an astute
investor led to the creation of GormalOne. The name came to life by creatively fusing the names
of two suburbs of Mumbai – Goregaon and Malad.
The larger vision is to ensure higher levels of ROI for the farmer community using innovative
tools which are financially viable. GormalOne is relentlessly working on its mission to elevate
Indian farmers from the vicious cycle to the virtuous circle.

This period unveiled dairy’s ability to deliver consistent returns, laying the foundation for a transformative mission.
Manish explored diverse ventures but remained deeply connected to the dairy industry. Collaborations with industry leaders provided invaluable insights, reinforcing the scalability and sustainability of dairy as a long-term focus.
Extensive field research over 20 years revealed the fragmented nature of the dairy ecosystem. From herd management to milk production, silos created inefficiencies. This insight inspired a vision to digitize and unify the industry, enhancing farmer productivity and cattle care.
GormalOne was founded in 2017 to integrate external technologies into dairy farming. However, existing tools proved inadequate for the industry’s complex needs. By 2020, the focus shifted to building a customized digital platform, culminating in the creation of NITARA.
Since its launch, NITARA has transformed how stakeholders—including farmers, vets, and dairy producers—approach dairy operations. Through extensive testing and feedback, NITARA continues to evolve as a trusted platform for enhancing productivity, streamlining operations, and driving sustainable growth in the dairy sector.
