Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Senior quality assurance (QA) Engineer to oversee the activities of quality assurance. This position requires at least 3-5 years of experience in the Android and iOS domain. This position will be responsible for testing a component, feature, and or feature set. This position is expected to take responsibility for the quality of the software developer and drive the quality mindset in the team.

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional, Non-Functional, Integration, API level, System and Regression testing on a Web/Mobile Based Product.
• Responsible for test cases preparation, test execution, defect tracking, and analysis
• Ability to understand the automation framework and add test cases
• Write complex SQL queries to facilitate own testing and work of other QA engineer
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases.
• Mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
• Follow Scrum process, participate in Scrum ceremonies and follow the incremental delivery model.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Mobile App Testing.
• Experience of API Testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman.
• Experience of Selenium WebDriver and Appium is preferred.
• Familiarity with JIRA, GIT, SQL and databases.
• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments.
• Understanding of security fundamentals (e.g., authentication, cryptography) is desirable.
• Knowledge on BDD framework or cucumber framework.
